Biography

Paolo Ardoino is an Italian computer scientist and businessman, currently serving as the chief executive officer (CEO) of Tether since December 2023. He also holds the position of chief technology officer (CTO) of Bitfinex. Forbes estimated his net worth at $38 billion as of April 2026, making him the 57th-richest person in the world.

Born in 1984 in Cisano sul Neva, Italy, Ardoino began coding at the age of eight. He earned a bachelor's degree in computer science from the University of Genoa.
