Biography

Oscar Munoz is an American businessman and board member. He served as executive chairman of United Airlines from 2020 to 2021, following his tenure as chief executive officer (CEO) of United Airlines from 2015 to 2020. In December 2019, Munoz announced his transition to executive chairman, with Scott Kirby taking over as CEO in May 2020. Munoz had been a member of the board of directors of United's parent company, United Continental Holdings (UCH), since its formation in 2004.
