Omar Jimenez is an American journalist and correspondent, currently serving as an anchor and correspondent for CNN, based in Chicago. Born in Worcester, Massachusetts, and raised in Kennesaw, Georgia, he identifies as Afro-Latino. His mother, Jayne Morgan, is a cardiologist, and his father, Omar Jimenez Jr., is a neurosurgeon.
Jimenez attended Kennesaw Mountain High School and later the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University, where he majored in broadcast journalism.
