Biography

Om Birla is a prominent Indian politician from Rajasthan, currently holding the esteemed position of the 17th Speaker of the Lok Sabha. He was first elected to this office in June 2019 and was re-elected for a second term in June 2024, winning the Lok Sabha Speaker Election as the NDA candidate by voice vote. During his first tenure as Speaker, numerous bills were passed by the house.
