Olga Talamante is a prominent Chicana political activist and currently serves as the Executive Director of the Chicana Latina Foundation. Born in Mexicali, Mexico, she moved to Gilroy, California, at age eleven and later became a naturalized U.S.
citizen. Talamante attended the University of California, Santa Cruz, where she earned a BA in Latin American Studies and became active in the anti-Vietnam War peace movement and the Chicano Movement.
