Oded Galor is an Israeli-American economist and the Herbert H. Goldberger Professor of Economics at Brown University. He completed his BA and MA at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and his PhD at Columbia University. Galor is recognized as the founder of unified growth theory, a framework that investigates the process of development throughout human history and identifies the forces behind the transition from stagnation to growth, as well as the divergence in income per capita across regions.
