Noland Arbaugh, born in 1993 or 1994 in Yuma, Arizona, is recognized as the first human recipient of Neuralink's brain-computer interface (BCI) implant, Telepathy. A former student and athlete at Texas A&M University, Arbaugh became quadriplegic in 2016 following a severe spinal cord injury during a swimming accident.
On January 28, 2024, Arbaugh received the Neuralink brain chip implant at the Barrow Neurological Institute.
