Biography

Dr. Mark Nitzberg is an American computer scientist, inventor, entrepreneur, and academic who focuses on the societal and economic impacts of artificial intelligence (AI) and its governance. He serves as the Interim Executive Director of the International Association for Safe & Ethical AI and is the founding Executive Director of the UC Berkeley Center for Human-Compatible AI, located at the Berkeley AI Research Lab.
