Nina Yoshida Nelsen is an operatic mezzo soprano and an avid advocate for equity in the arts. She is widely recognized for her numerous performances as Suzuki in Madama Butterfly with opera companies throughout North America and Europe.

Ms. Yoshida Nelsen is also known for her work in contemporary opera, particularly for telling Asian American stories. She has sung in seven world premieres and their subsequent productions.
