Biography

Nikolas Farantouris is a Member of the European Parliament (MEP) for the 2024-2029 term, where he actively contributes to the Committees on Budget (BUDG), Environment, Energy & Public Health (ENVI), and Constitutional Affairs (AFCO), serving as Coordinator. He is also a Professor of EU & Energy Law at the University of Piraeus, where he holds the prestigious Jean Monnet Chair in European Law, specializing in Competition, Energy, and Transport Law.
