Peter Neronha is an American lawyer and politician who currently serves as Rhode Island's 74th Attorney General, a position he was elected to on November 6, 2018, and sworn into office on January 1, 2019.
Prior to his current role, Neronha was appointed by President Barack Obama as the 39th United States Attorney for the District of Rhode Island on September 16, 2009, with the unanimous consent of the United States Senate. He served in this capacity until his resignation on March 10, 2017.
