Neil Gershenfeld is a professor in the MIT Program in Media Arts and Sciences and the director of the MIT Center for Bits and Atoms. His work primarily focuses on interdisciplinary topics that bridge physics and computer science, including quantum computing, nanotechnology, and personal fabrication.
In 1998, Gershenfeld initiated a class at MIT titled "How to make (almost) anything.
