Neil deGrasse Tyson is an American astrophysicist and science communicator. He began his studies at Harvard University, graduating with a degree in physics in 1980, followed by a master's degree from the University of Texas at Austin, and a PhD in astrophysics from Columbia University. From 1991 to 1994, he was a postdoctoral research associate at Princeton University.
