Neel Kashkari is the President of the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis, a position he assumed on November 10, 2015. Prior to this role, he held significant positions within the U.S.
Treasury Department. From October 2008 to May 2009, he served as interim Assistant Secretary of the Treasury for Financial Stability, where he was responsible for overseeing the Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP), a key component of the U.S.
government's response to the 2008 financial crisis.
