Biography

Myriam Spiteri Debono is the 11th and current President of Malta, having been inaugurated on April 4, 2024. She is recognized as the first Gozitan woman to be elected to this position and the third woman to serve as President of Malta. Prior to her presidency, she made history as the first woman to hold the role of Speaker of the House of Representatives of Malta, serving from September 1996 to October 1998.
