Michelle Ye Hee Lee is the Tokyo/Seoul Bureau Chief for The Washington Post, where she covers Japan and the Korean Peninsula. Prior to her current role in Asia, she reported on campaign finance, ethics in government, voting access, and the political influence industry for the Post. Born in Seoul in 1988, Lee immigrated to the United States in 1995 and spent much of her childhood in Guam.
