Mutale Nkonde is a Zambian journalist and artificial intelligence policy researcher. She is the Chief Executive Officer of AI for the People, a nonprofit she founded with the mission of reducing algorithmic bias. Currently, Nkonde is pursuing a Ph.
D. in digital humanities as a Harding distinguished postgraduate scholar at the University of Cambridge, where her research focuses on human resilience to the unintended negative impacts of AI technologies on social life.
