Mustafa Akyol, born on February 20, 1972, is a Turkish writer, intellectual, and journalist. He is recognized for his advocacy on reform concerning blasphemy, apostasy, and gender relations within the Muslim world, and has been described as a notable Muslim modernist and reformer. Since 2018, Akyol has served as a Senior Fellow at the Cato Institute, a libertarian think tank, and is also an affiliate scholar at the Acton Institute.
