Biography

Muhammad Shahbaz is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at the University of Michigan, where he also serves as the Director of the NextGArch Laboratory. His research centers on the design and development of domain-specific (performance) abstractions, compilers, and architectures.

These research efforts are applied to emerging workloads, including machine learning, self-driving networks, and serverless/edge computing.
