Michael Mainelli is a scientist-economist who promotes societal advance through better technology and finance decisions. He currently serves as Chair of Z/Yen Group and President of the London Chamber of Commerce & Industry. From 2023-2024, he held the position of Lord Mayor of London.

Educated at Harvard University and Trinity College Dublin, Michael Mainelli gained his PhD at the London School of Economics, where he was also a Visiting Professor of Innovation & IT.
