Morris Katz is a construction consultant with a background in entrepreneurship and business management. He financed his college education through landscaping and carpentry work.

In 1989, Katz founded Katz Contracting. He later established American Deck Company in 1995, which became an LLC and focused on a niche market. He successfully navigated a recession, growing American Deck Company to 15 employees before selling it in August 2017.
