Biography

Miles D. White is an American businessman who spent 38 years with Abbott Laboratories, serving as CEO from 1999 to 2020 and Chairman of the board from 1999 until December 2021. He joined Abbott in 1984, holding management positions including Senior Vice President of Diagnostic Operations and Executive Vice President before being elected to the board in 1998. Under his leadership, Abbott created approximately $200 billion in shareholder value.
