Mikhail Burtsev is a Landau AI Fellow at the London Institute for Mathematical Sciences (LIMS), where he conducts research on the open-ended emergence of complex systems, modular representation for rapid learning, and large DNA language models. Prior to his current role, he was the Scientific Director of the Artificial Intelligence Research Institute (AIRI), one of the largest AI research organizations in the CIS, overseeing more than 120 researchers across over 20 projects.
