Michael Williams is an experimental particle physicist and faculty member at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He serves as the inaugural Deputy Director of the NSF AI Institute for Artificial Intelligence and Fundamental Interactions (IAIFI). Williams earned his M.
S. and Ph.D.
degrees from Carnegie Mellon University in 2007, following a double major in physics and mathematics summa cum laude at Saint Vincent College in 2001.
