Michelle Coles is a civil rights attorney and debut novelist. Her writing aims to empower young people by educating them about history and providing tools to shape their destiny.
She currently serves as a Commissioner for the Maryland Lynching Truth and Reconciliation Commission, a role she has held since 2023. Previously, she was an Attorney at the U.S. Department of Justice, Civil Rights Division, from October 2010 to June 2022.
