Michele Kotler serves as the Director at Community~Word Project, an organization she founded. As the Founding Director, she established an arts-in-education non-profit dedicated to enhancing creative and critical thinking, as well as social-emotional skills, among young people in New York City.
Through Community~Word Project, Kotler oversees programs that train and deploy artists and writers into historically under-resourced Title I public schools and libraries.
