Michael Bornstein Oren is an American-Israeli diplomat, writer, and politician. He held significant political roles, serving as Israel's Ambassador to the United States from 2009 to 2013. Following his ambassadorship, Oren was elected to the Knesset for the Kulanu party and served as a Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister's Office.
