Michael O. Emerson is an American sociologist and author, currently serving as the Harry and Hazel Chavanne Fellow in Religion and Public Policy and Director of the Baker Institute's Religion and Public Life Program at Rice University. He also holds the position of Adjunct Professor of Sociology at Rice University, where he has been involved in teaching, researching, writing, and publishing in higher education since 1991.
