Biography

Michael Kretschmer is a prominent German politician of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU), currently serving as the Minister President of Saxony since December 2017. Born in 1975, he is noted as the youngest person to hold this office. Since 2022, he has also been one of four deputy chairs of the CDU, working under the leadership of chairman Friedrich Merz.
