Biography

Michael Contopoulos serves as the Deputy Chief Investment Officer and Director of Fixed Income at Richard Bernstein Advisors. He has been with Richard Bernstein Advisors for over five years.

Prior to his current role, Contopoulos was a Managing Director at Anchorage Capital Group, L.L.C. from September 2017 to January 2020. He also spent over 13 years at Merrill Lynch, where he held the position of Managing Director, Head of High Yield Strategy from August 2004 to September 2017.
