Michael Arghyrou is a prominent figure in Greek economic policy and academia. He currently serves as the Head of the Economics Office of the Prime Minister of the Hellenic Republic. Concurrently, he holds a position as a Professor in Economics at the Department of Economics of the University of Piraeus, though he is currently on leave of absence.
Prior to his current role, Arghyrou held significant responsibilities within the Greek government.
