Biography

Mia Bonta is a CA State Assemblymember representing Oakland, Alameda, and Emeryville. She previously served as the CEO of Oakland Promise, a non-profit organization dedicated to a cradle-to-college and career initiative that supports thousands of children in Oakland.

Prior to her role at Oakland Promise, Bonta founded LitLab in 2014. This organization aimed to transform how children experiencing poverty and children of color, along with their families, access early learning opportunities.
