Biography

Meredith Whittaker is the President of Signal Messenger, where she also serves on its board of directors. Previously, she was the Minderoo Research Professor at New York University (NYU) and a chief advisor and co-founder of the AI Now Institute. She also served as a senior advisor on AI to Chair Lina Khan at the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and was recognized by TIME magazine in 2023 as one of the 100 most influential people in AI.

Whittaker spent 13 years at Google, joining in 2006.
