Melissa Goh began her journalism career in 1996 as a broadcast journalist and newscaster with Malaysia's first privatized TV network, TV3. From 1997 to 1998, she hosted TV3's weekly business and financial program, "Money Matters," which focused on the Asian financial crisis and its political repercussions following the Thai Baht meltdown. She later joined the Television Corporation of Singapore in 1999 as a business presenter before moving to Channel NewsAsia as a news producer.
