Melanie Ann Stansbury is an American politician currently serving as the U.S. representative for New Mexico's 1st congressional district since 2021. The district encompasses the majority of Albuquerque and its surrounding suburbs. A Democrat, Stansbury previously held a seat in the New Mexico House of Representatives for the 28th district from 2019 to 2021.
Born in Farmington, New Mexico, and raised in Albuquerque, Stansbury graduated from Cibola High School in 1997.
