Maya Fishbach is an Assistant Professor at the Canadian Institute for Theoretical Astrophysics at the University of Toronto, where she specializes in gravitational-wave astrophysics. Her research focuses on using gravitational waves, detected by the LIGO, Virgo, and KAGRA observatories, to gain insights into black holes, stars, galaxies, and cosmology.
As a member of the LIGO Collaboration, Fishbach currently co-chairs the Rates and Populations group.
