Biography

Max Gallien is a political scientist and Research Fellow with a focus on the politics of informal and illegal economies, taxation, and informality, as well as the political economy of development.

He currently serves as a Research Fellow at the International Centre for Tax and Development, where he co-leads initiatives concerning taxation and informality. Additionally, he holds a position as a Research Fellow at the Institute of Development Studies (IDS) at the University of Sussex.
