Biography

Matthew Desmond is an American sociologist and author, currently holding the position of Maurice P. During Professor of Sociology at Princeton University. He is also the principal investigator of the Eviction Lab, an initiative dedicated to understanding and addressing housing insecurity.

Prior to his role at Princeton, Desmond served as the John L. Loeb Associate Professor of the Social Sciences at Harvard University.
