Matt Calkins is the co-founder, CEO, chairman, and president of Appian Corporation. He co-founded Appian in 1999, growing it from a startup in his basement to a successful software IPO in 2017 with just $10 million of outside capital. Prior to Appian, he was the director of the Enterprise Product Group at MicroStrategy.

Appian specializes in low-code software, enabling businesses to build applications more quickly.
