Masoud Pezeshkian is the ninth President of Iran, a position he has held since 2024. A member of the reformist faction, he is the oldest individual to assume the presidency, taking office at the age of 69. Prior to his presidency, Pezeshkian had a distinguished career as a heart surgeon and served in various high-level political roles, including Minister of Health and Medical Education and First Deputy Speaker of Parliament.
