Biography

MaryKay Loss Carlson is an American diplomat who served as the United States Ambassador to the Philippines from 2022 to 2026. Prior to this, she was the United States Chargé d'affaires in Argentina from 2021 to 2022, following her tenure as the Deputy Chief of Mission in the country starting in September 2019.

Carlson is a career member of the Foreign Service, having served since 1985 and holding the rank of Minister-Counselor.
