Biography

Martina Biene is the Chairperson and Managing Director of Volkswagen Group Africa, a position she assumed in November 2022. In this role, she is focused on providing sustainable mobility and energy solutions in Africa for Africa, for generations to come.

Biene began her career with Volkswagen in Wolfsburg in 2001, after studying Protestant Theology in Germany and the Netherlands. Since then, she has fulfilled various roles within the Volkswagen Group.
