Markus Wagner, born on June 12, 1964, in Unkel, is a German politician. He is a member of the Alternative for Germany party and has served as the leader of his group in the Landtag of North Rhine-Westphalia since 2017.

In addition to his political career, Wagner is a Professor at the University of Wollongong.

He is married and has an adopted son from Haiti.
