Biography

Markus Söder is the Bayerischer Ministerpräsident (Minister-President of Bavaria) and the Vorsitzender (Chairman) of the Christlich-Soziale Union (CSU). He was born in Nuremberg, Germany, in 1967, the son of a building contractor. After graduating from Dürer-Gymnasium Nuremberg in 1986, Söder completed his education, becoming a Promovierter Jurist (doctorate in law).
