Mark Fuhrman, born February 5, 1952, in Eatonville, Washington, is an American former detective of the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD). After enlisting in the United States Marine Corps in 1970, where he served during the Vietnam War era and attained the rank of sergeant before his honorable discharge in 1975, Fuhrman joined the LAPD in the same year.
