Mark Toner is the Executive Vice President for Strategy and Communications at the Center for American Progress. He is a former U.S. Ambassador and senior leader at the U.S. State Department, bringing extensive experience as a senior diplomat and strategic communicator.

Throughout his career, Toner served as a Foreign Service Officer, with postings overseas in West Africa and Europe.
