Mario Luis Small is the Quetelet Professor of Social Science at Columbia University, a position he has held since 2022. He was previously a faculty member at Harvard University (2014-2021), the University of Chicago, and Princeton University (2002-2006). His research interests include urban poverty, inequality, personal networks, and the relationship between qualitative and quantitative methods.
