Mariaelena Huambachano is an Associate Professor of Environmental Humanities at Syracuse University. She joined the university in 2021 to help establish the Global Indigenous Cultures and Environmental Justice Research Centre and Department. Her work focuses on food and environmental justice, sustainable development, Indigenous studies, and public policy.
