Maria Abascal serves as the Directora General of the Asociación Española de Banca (AEB). She is also the Presidenta del Comité Ejecutivo of the European Banking Federation. Earlier in her career, Abascal worked at BBVA. She holds the credential of Técnico Comercial y Economista del Estado.
