Biography

Mari Rantanen is a Finnish politician currently serving as the Minister of the Interior in the Orpo Cabinet, a position she was appointed to in June 2023. She is also a Member of Parliament for the Helsinki constituency, representing the Finns Party.

Within the Parliament, Rantanen served as a member of the Committee on Legal Affairs from 2019 to 2022. In November 2022, she was elected Chairman of the Committee on Administrative Affairs.
